And so our tale comes to an end, in so far as stories ever end.
SECRETS was originally written for the 2012 National Novel Writing Month. It then spent several years in editing, and then several more years languishing on my hard drive. After the modest success of Nin the Seeker (available to read on this very site), I thought it was about time to release SECRETS into the wild.
And so the adventures of Nin the Seeker come to an end. Thank you for reading this weird experimental story of mine! I began this project as a way of organizing and collecting my loose scraps and ideas. Fairly soon into it though, I realized I had a petty good narrative going, and I decided to challenge myself and write one publishable page a week for an entire year.
Thought I’d make a quick little update. Nin is still going strong, lots of stories in the pipeline! I’ve started posting on Wattpad as well, for those of you who prefer a more bookish reading experience. I’ll be posting chapters over there a couple times a week until we’re current, then we’ll follow the same update schedule as on here (Saturday nights).
Speaking of which, is Saturday night a good update time? Heck if I know! The idea is it’ll make a good cup-of-coffee-on-sunday-morning-read, but does that work in practice? Let me know what you think.
Well, that’s about it. Happy seeking, and thanks for reading!
I thought I’d give an update on my plans going forward. This site was originally just going to be a dumping ground for various projects I didn’t really have any other place for, and also as a way to build some kind of portfolio.
But I’ve been having a lot of fun writing Nin the Seeker, and I’ve gotten a pretty good response as well, so I’m planning on continuing that series. Nin will update every Saturday for the duration of 2019. So there’s lots of Nin ahead! After that, who knows. I may continue the series, or dial back updates to work on other projects for the site. We’ll see when 2020 rolls around.
In the meantime I’ve upgraded my wordpress account. We’re now ad free and have our own domain, nintheseeker.com. If you like what I’ve been doing, or want to help offset my hosting costs, please consider buying me a coffee.
